Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has been identified as one of the biggest health threats in world. Current therapeutic options for common infections are markedly limited due to emergence multidrug resistant pathogens community and hospitals. The role different essential oils (EOs) their derivatives exhibiting antimicrobial properties widely elucidated with respective mechanisms action. Recently, there a heightened emphasis on lavender oil (LEO)’s wound healing effects. However, date, no review published examining benefits oil, specifically. Previous literature shown that LEO its constituents act synergistically agents potentiate activity. For past decade, encapsulation EOs nanoparticles practiced increased effects greater bioavailability compared non-encapsulated oils. Therefore, this intends provide an insight into aspects activity exhibited by constituents, discuss synergistic displayed combinatory therapy involving LEO, well explore significance nano-encapsulation boosting LEO; it is aimed from integration these knowledge areas, combating AMR will be more than just possibility.
